Not Stalking

When the days were at their worst and she had nobody to turn to, Helga would often find herself at Arnold's house. She always stayed in the shadows and would listen as he went about in his room. Sometimes he would play parcheesy with his friends or listen to calming jazz music.

Helga could watch him for hours and dream about him but one thing she would never admit to, was stalking him. Was it such a crime to be near the one you love? Still, she wondered how long she would have to hide in the shadows to be close to her beloved.
